This interactive platform lets you learn all things cyber threat intelligence, threat hunting, and custom tooling completely for free: no subscriptions, paywalls, or content restrictions. You can go from zero to hero without worrying about breaking the bank. Whether you want to break into the cyber security industry or elevate your skills, the site has you covered.
But why launch a website, what is the goal of Kraven Security, and what to expect in the coming months?

Why Launch a Website?
If you’re reading this, you’ve likely stumbled onto my content on Medium.
Medium is great. It is a platform where you can find great stuff from a whole range of content creators, be it cyber security, programming, or even cooking recipes. I love Medium as a social writing platform and recommend it to anyone who wants to start their content creation journey. However, it has limitations. Most content creators will eventually want to deliver more impactful, interactive, or entertaining content, and that’s what I want to do with Kraven Security.
Kraven Security is a platform where I can share my unique industry insights and experiences from my days working as a SOC analyst, senior threat intelligence analyst, and cyber security engineer. It is a platform where you can learn new skills that will set you apart from other candidates, have a greater impact on your business, and make the world more secure.
Moving to an interactive platform lets me share more diverse content with you, create more useful learning resources, and provide the opportunity to build a community of like-minded individuals you can learn from. It offers me the chance to teach you everything I know and for you to enhance your cyber security skills.
If you are an avid fan of Medium and prefer to consume your cyber security content through the platform, don’t worry. I will still continue to post my stuff on Medium for you to discover, learn from, and share with others. I am not forcing you to move across to Kraven Security and never will. It is just an alternative option if you like my stuff.

Cyber security is hard. I want to make it easier for you by cutting through all the bullshit and delivering actionable advice and practical skills that will make a difference. But I don’t want to charge you an arm and a leg for this advice or skills. That’s why Kraven Security is committed to delivering high-quality content completely for free.
You can learn threat intelligence for free, threat hunting for free, and how to create your own custom tools for free. There are no overpriced courses, subscription fees, or $8000+ PowerPoint slides and video lectures. Everything you need to start learning is free.
That’s not to say there will never be paid content. Sometimes it helps to have a little extra help to get across the finish line, a guided video demonstration, live walkthroughs, personal tuition, and access to extended learning materials. This will always remain affordable for 99% of people.
Kraven Security will offer paid options to individuals and businesses who are looking to streamline their learning experience or stand up a cyber threat intelligence (CTI) capability. But we will provide everything you need to start learning this content completely for free and regularly update it so you can continue your journey.
What to Expect

Short Term Plans
For starters, all of my existing content on Medium has been moved across to this new platform. This includes articles on topics like using ChatGPT for threat hunting, creating a CTI aggregator, and threat profiling hackers. As well as content that was perfect for being refined and turned into courses, such as:

You will see new articles, additions to existing courses, and new courses on threat intelligence, threat hunting, and custom tooling. This content will make full use of what this new platform can provide with embedded videos, GIFs, and interactive elements to help you learn and understand complex topics.
In addition to the website, I have also recently launched a newsletter. It details the top 5 news stories of the week, our feature article, and everything happening at Kraven Security so you can take a peek behind the scenes at what it looks like running a cyber security company. I recommend subscribing to stay up-to-date with the latest things happening in the cyber security world and what is happening at Kraven Security.
Long Term Plans
In the future, I want to provide budding cyber threat intelligence analysts with a complete course. A full guide to threat intelligence that will teach you everything you need to know to enter the field and excel.
Currently, there are very few good cyber threat intelligence (CTI) courses and none below four figures. I find this completely unacceptable and a gatekeeping barrier that needs to be broken. There needs to be affordable training options for CTI analysts so new blood can enter this field, people in other cyber security disciplines can utilize CTI to improve their capabilities, and existing CTI analysts can brush up their skills and become more valuable to their organization.
Threat intelligence is not a mystic art reserved for ex-intelligence operatives. It is a discipline that should be made accessible to everyone so we can improve the state of cyber security no matter where we choose to work.
This is my long-term goal. To provide an affordable training option for students using the Kraven Security platform. Fingers crossed we get there!

New and exciting things are coming to Kraven Security. In the short term, there will be a bunch of new free content, including updates to existing courses, new free courses, and much more. In the long term, I want to create a complete course on cyber threat intelligence that will teach budding analysts everything they need to know at an affordable price.
